How to Delete Your Account on Lemmy


Please note that the account deletion process is handled entirely by the Lemmy instance where you created your account. The steps provided here are general instructions and may vary depending on the specific instance. "Beyond" app and Protolane Software have no control over individual Lemmy instances or the account deletion process.


Step 1: Open the web browser on your device. The account deletion process cannot be completed from within the "Beyond" app.

Step 2: Enter the URL of the Lemmy instance where you created your account into the address bar of your web browser.

Step 3: Log into your account using your username and password.

Step 4: Navigate to your account settings. This is typically found by clicking on your username or profile picture in the upper-right corner of the screen, then selecting "Settings" or "Account Settings" from the dropdown menu.

Step 5: Look for an option to delete your account. This is typically under the "Account" or "Security" section of the settings. If you can't find this option, you may need to contact the instance's administrators or support for assistance. 

Step 6: Follow the on-screen instructions to delete your account. This may include entering your password for confirmation and clicking a "Delete Account" button.

Step 7: Wait for confirmation that your account has been deleted. This usually appears as a message on the screen.


Remember, deleting your account is usually permanent and cannot be undone. Be sure to save any personal data, posts, comments, or other information you wish to keep before deleting your account. If you have any issues during this process, please contact the administrators of the specific Lemmy instance where your account was created. 


Please understand that Beyond app and Protolane Software cannot assist with this process as account management is completely under the control of the respective Lemmy instance.
